Course meets weekly for five Tuesdays
Building on the foundation laid in Yoga 1, this course gives the opportunity to build up a solid personal yoga practice, including the 12 basic postures and breathing exercises. The headstand is introduced step by step in a safe manner—unless, of course, there is a contraindicated condition. Emphasis is placed on holding postures longer, and making smooth transitions between postures. Some variations of the basic postures will also be introduced. Notice yourself becoming aware of subtler sensations. This is presence. Surrender replaces strain and your practice deepens. Stillness comes.
This is an ideal refresher class for those who have lapsed in their practice. It is also suitable for experienced practitioners who are new to the Center.
