Two days of classes — from philosophical and practical perspectives

Everyone has faith, but faith in what? We each hold on strongly to our beliefs, and yet we find that they do not carry us through the storms of life – this causes us to dive deeper. Faith is either blind, or surface level rooted in physicality, or abiding. It is said that what we seek is the deepest, abiding, unshakable faith. Only this unshakable faith will weather any storm.
On Faith – Teachings and Dialogue about our Paths to Faith
“Faith is a belief in things that your senses have not experienced and your mind does not understand, but you have touched them in other ways and have accepted them. It is easy for one to speak of faith; it is another thing to live it.To me, faith represents that people can, through their own free will, reach out and contact God, and grace represents that God is always reaching toward people. To me it is very important that I remain in constant contact with God, or divine purpose.” ~Peace Pilgrim
This program is designed to explore faith, to look at our own faith systems and analyze them fairly, and to clearly see the steps that we have taken as well as those in front of us in order to come to the deeper and abiding faith that will free us from our suffering. We will engage in an honest, open and non-judgmental exploration, rooted in Shastra (Truth teachings), including the Bhagavad Gita along with selections from Peace Pilgrim and the Buddha’s teachings – along with practices of the Four Paths of Classical Yoga, all in sacred space. Join us to dive deeper within and to learn more about ourselves – to feel more secure, to take steps out of the state of disturbance.
Swami Sankarananda is a simple pilgrim. Not finding peace in a life of business success, he turned inside, became a disciple of Swami Sivananda, and in 2013 he began to walk across and through the USA in a pilgrimage for peace, completing this in early 2016. He now directs Divine Grace Yoga Ashram in Cottonwood, AZ. He strives to serve the divine in all and support our universal journey to find the happiness and peace for which we search. www.fromfeartopeace.org
