According to Dr Daniel Amen, the brain is a three-pound supercomputer. It is involved in absolutely everything you do. It is your brain that determines how you think, how you feel, how you act, and how well you get along with other people.
There are one hundred billion nerve cells in your brain, and every nerve cell has many connections to other nerve cells. In fact, your brain has more connections in it than there are stars in the universe! Optimizing your brain’s function is essential to being the best you can be, whether at work, in leisure, or in your relationships
Guest Speaker
Amit Chaudhari, MDPhD is the Chief Neurology Resident at UCLA Medical Center working in vascular neurology and neurocritical care. He received his medical and graduate degrees in 2018 from Rutgers University. He then completed a one-year AAAS policy fellowship at the National Institutes of Health and a preliminary year in internal medicine at UCSF Fresno. Amit has received several awards and funding grants for his research in Stroke, NeuroICU and NeuroInterventional Radiology. His recent clinical work focuses on using minimally-invasive medical devices to treat very sick patients in the NeuroICU and enhance their quality of life.
