WITH RAM VAKKALANKA

This is the first of three Nada Yoga programs:
Friday 5/5 • 5:00–7:00pm • Revitalize Yourself through Nada Yoga
Saturday 5/6 • 3:00–5:00pm • Nada Yoga for Emotional Healing
Sunday 5/7 • 3:00–5:00pm • Deep Relaxation with Nada Yoga

There is something sacred inside all of us that vibrates in harmony with the Universe. However, the cacophony of our thoughts does not let us enjoy this inner music. The practice of Nada Yoga raises our awareness above the cacophony of thoughts so we become one with the Universal Vibration. In this workshop about Nada Yoga, Ram Vakkalanka explains the spiritual origin of music, explores ‘Swara’ (energized musical tone) and its relationship with the energy centers in the body, the three Doshas (Vata, Pitta, and Kapha of Ayurveda), the five elements, as well as the zodiac signs. Inner Healing happens through Nada Yoga when Intention is coupled with sacred Vibration. Enjoy meditation and guided listening to the sacred sounds of Nada Yoga on the sitar.

Come to one workshop or all three. Please wear loose, comfortable clothing.

About the instructor

Ram Vakkalanka is an internationally-recognized master of Yoga philosophy, Nada Yoga, Meditation and Sanskrit. He was born and brought up in India, in a family dedicated to the Yogic style of living. He grew up studying the Sanskrit language, ancient scriptures such as Upanishads and practicing Mantra-chanting and Meditation as a lifestyle. In his teens, Ram began studying music through the sitar, which eventually blossomed into Nada Yoga.

It was in Canada that Ram met his spiritual Guru; that meeting changed his life completely.

Ram shares his deep knowledge of the Yoga philosophy, Sanskrit, Nada Yoga, as well as Vedic sciences such as Ayurveda and Astrology with a global audience through workshops and retreats, as well as one-on-one sessions. His teaching style is direct and simple but profound, filled with current examples and humor.

Ram’s creations so far include 22 CDs in three languages, one DVD, and an online course about the origin and evolution of Yoga.
