IN PERSON OR ONLINE
A Zoom link will be sent one hour before the event to online participants
A puja is a bhakti yoga practice which can be very elaborate. Together, we will do a simple puja, which you will then be able to do on your own any time. We will provide a sheet with the chants, as well as a photo of Ganesha to print out if you like. We’ll talk about the symbolism of the offerings and developing bhav, or feeling, in the worship practice. It’s a sattvic feast for the senses.
If you are joining online, please collect what you have from the following list of items:
tray (placemat size)
small cup of water
small strip of fabric or ribbon
flower petals from one flower
handful of rice
1 stick incense
oil lamp or tea light
small towel or napkin or tissue
incense holder or very small cup of rice to hold incense
3 powders (sandalwood paste, kumkum, Siva ash)
a picture or murthi from your altar
Place all the items you collect on the tray, ready for the workshop.
We will also talk about setting up an altar and caring for it.
