The physical exercises of Yoga, or “asanas,” are not just exercises. They have an inherent mental component. It is in holding the postures that the full benefits are realized. The Yoga scriptures tell us that the influence of the mind on the body is far more powerful than the influence of the body on the mind.
Use the breath to calm the mind. Balance the Ha and Tha, the sun and moon energy.
Let’s look at how practicing yoga balances all systems of the body: endocrine system, nervous systems, digestive system, immune system, circulatory system, reproductive system, to name a few!
This is a fascinating theory class. You’ll never want to skip yoga again!
