Corporate Wellness
Rooted in classical yoga teachings, the Sivananda Yoga Vedanta Center (SYVC) offer programs and trainings for self-healing and personal transformation that celebrate community, connection, and natural living. We synthesize the ancient wisdom of Yoga into five basic principles: proper exercise, proper breathing, proper relaxation, proper diet, and positive thinking and meditation. A healthier lifestyle allows us to slow down, combat distraction and be present. Yoga is universal. Everyone wants to evolve. Our true nature is Peace.
We build custom programs according to your needs—either at your workplace or onsite at our Center in Los Angeles, located in historic West Adams.
WHAT WE OFFER
1. Yoga classes
The duration of a yoga class could be 45-90 minutes, depending on the amount of time available to your employees. A longer time would allow for a deeper experience. Instruction can be tailored to practitioners of all levels. Care is taken to ensure the practice is safe for all who join; modifications are always available.
Here are some options:
• One-off yoga class
• Yoga class series
• Beginner Yoga class series
• Yoga tailored to specific needs
• Chair Yoga
• Desk Yoga
• A 5-session series – This could be customized as you like. It could be geared for a certain experience level. For example, for beginners (when the same group plans to attend all sessions), there would be more explanation in the beginning and more practice by the later sessions.
A yoga class would include:
• creating a proper mindset for the practice
• warm-up stretches
• breathing exercises
• sun salutations
• a sequence of classical yoga postures with relaxation in between
• final guided relaxation lying on the floor
• option: add a 5-10 minute seated meditation at the end, when the body and mind are receptive

Benefits include:
• Counteract a sedentary lifestyle
• Refresh and invigorate the mind
• Feel the body less stiff, more flexible
• Learn to breathe consciously; correct poor breathing habits
• Experience collective energy, without competition
• Release tension and anxiety
• Improve digestion
• Improve focus and willpower
2. Workshops
Depending on the goals, workshops generally vary in length between 45 minutes and 2 hours and can be a series.
In addition to the presentation, other components may include:
• self-reflection
• small- or full-group processing
• creative project
• Q&A
• homework
Example topics include:
• Positive thinking
• Stress/anxiety management
• Mental health
• Relaxation
• Improving sleep
• Meditation
3. Mini-retreat
Would you like to plan a half-day, full-day or multi-day event for your employees? Let us develop a dynamic custom program containing somatic experience, interactive discussion, as well as relaxation. Ideally, it will include yoga, meditation, and time in nature.
Here’s a sample program offered at our Center:

AT YOUR LOCATION
For a yoga class, we would need a large, bright, ventilated room, large enough for participants to space their yoga mats at least 12 inches apart. It would need to be fairly quiet.
(People taking part in the class should wear comfortable, preferably cotton clothing. Note that it is best to practice yoga on an empty stomach.)
Participants—or the workplace—will need to supply their own mats, if possible. SYVC can bring a maximum of six mats and six cushions. Most people will need a cushion to elevate their hips to sit on the floor comfortably.

AT OUR FACILITY
Sivananda Yoga Vedanta Center
3741 W 27th Street, Los Angeles, CA 90018
Housed in a Mission Revival home built in 1914 on a half-acre lot, SYVC provides a peaceful retreat environment. There is a grassy front and back yard, plus an 800+sf outdoor yoga deck under a canopy of trees. There are charming indoor classrooms and a commercial kitchen. We are able to provide vegetarian meals and can adapt to special dietary needs. There is free parking behind the building.
FEES
We reserve the right to quote your program based on actual details discussed. As a guide, we charge a minimum of $300 for a 45–60-minute class for a group of 10–25 people and $350 for 26-40 (or possibly 50). It would be most beneficial to have an assistant teacher if over 25 attendees. A surcharge may apply based on our travel distance.
