Ayurvedic Teas & Spices for Your Dosha

Sunday, February 9, 2025 @ 2:00 PM 3:30 PM UTC+0

Sunday, February 9 @ 2:00–3:30pm

ONSITE
With Lalitha Vaidyanathan

According to Ayurveda, herbs and spices stimulate appetite, strengthen agni (digestive fire), and have beneficial therapeutic actions.

The six tastes of Ayurveda all have different qualities, such as cooling or oily. Each taste has an effect on the doshas (Ayurvedic body constitutions), because they come from the same elements as the doshas and share the same qualities. A taste that has the same quality as a dosha will increase it. To pacify a dosha that is elevated in your constitution, emphasize tastes with the opposite qualities.

Sample some teas and spice blends.
