Nada Yoga style of music has a calming effect on the mind as well as the nervous system. The melodies of the Nada Yoga tradition can help stop the negative chatter of the mind, uplift our consciousness, and bring us to a state of deep relaxation similar to Yoga Nidra. This workshop is likely to be especially beneficial to those who suffer from sleep-related issues. Join us to experience deep relaxation through Nada Yoga.
Ram Vakkalanka is an internationally-recognized master of Yoga philosophy, Nada Yoga, Meditation and Sanskrit. He was born and brought up in India, in a family dedicated to the Yogic style of living. He grew up studying the Sanskrit language, ancient scriptures such as Upanishads and practicing Mantra-chanting and Meditation as a lifestyle. In his teens, Ram began studying music through the sitar, which eventually blossomed into Nada Yoga.
It was in Canada that Ram met his spiritual Guru; that meeting changed his life completely.
Ram shares his deep knowledge of the Yoga philosophy, Sanskrit, Nada Yoga, as well as Vedic sciences such as Ayurveda and Astrology with a global audience through workshops and retreats, as well as one-on-one sessions. His teaching style is direct and simple but profound, filled with current examples and humor.
Ram’s creations so far include 22 CDs in three languages, one DVD, and an online course about the origin and evolution of Yoga.
