We aren’t simply an isolated collection of atoms and molecules\, but are an inseparable part of the infinite field of intelligence. From this holistic perspective\, health isn’t merely the absence of illness or symptoms ― it is a higher state of consciousness that allows vitality\, well-being\, creativity\, and joy to flow into our experience. In contrast\, illness is a disruption ― a blockage in the flow of energy and information that creates a sense of separation or alienation from the field. Symptoms and sickness are the body’s signal that we need to restore balance\, eliminate whatever is causing the blockages\, and reestablish the healthy flow of energy and information. Detoxification and Purification is the best way to attain such refinement. \n\n\n\nDate & Pricing Details\n\n\n\n– Friday\, September 4 – Monday\, September 7\, 2020– $150–250 sliding scale– Individual sessions also available– Recordings are included with the conference \n\n\n\nTeachers\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nDr. Suhas KshirsagarDr. Suhas Kshirsagar is a classically trained Ayurvedic physician and a gold medalist from prestigious Pune University. SUMMARY:ONLINE Jyotish Study Course: Nakshatras with Komilla Sutton
DESCRIPTION:Saturday and Sunday\, June 27–28  •  8:30–10:30am and 12:30–2:30pm each day\nVIA ZOOM • Link will be sent to registrants the day before the program.\n \n\nThe Nakshatras – the Lunar Mandala Nakshatra literally means a star in Sanskrit. A star is a point of cosmic light. Naksha means to get closer and Tra means to preserve. And nakshatra also means one that never decays’: their cosmic remit is to be the guardians of the soul during its journey through many human lifetimes and bring divine knowledge of the Deity. \nThe original nakshatra division was on 28 sections but this is not longer so prevalent\, although some techniques will use 28 nakshatras. Nakshatras division of the sky into 27 sections relates to the Moon as it stays in one Nakshatra for a day. Each Nakshatra compromises 13°20″ of the ecliptic – the degrees covered by the Moon in a 24 hour day. \nEach Nakshatra is a group of several thousands of fixed stars. Each Rashi sign has 2 ¼ Nakshatras. Nava Grahas or nine planets rule the 27 Nakshatras. Nakshatras are divided into three cycles of nine\, which are always ruled by the planets in the same order. The nine planets are Ketu\, Venus\, Sun\, Moon\, Mars\, Rahu\, Jupiter\, Saturn and Mercury. The 28th intercalary nakshatra is called Abhijit. Read more on why below. \nAlthough the Moon’s position in a nakshatra is of prime importance\, the quality of the other planets gets influenced and altered by their nakshatra position. To study the deeper meanings of life\, the nakshatra placements of all planets must be analyzed and this will give a better understanding of the inner motivations. \n\n \nKomilla Sutton is an internationally renowned consultant\, teacher & lecturer. Her Academy teaches 3-year online courses. She is the co-Founder & Chair of the British Association of Vedic Astrology\, has been leading trips to India since 1999 and sponsoring Vedic Astrology Conferences in India since 2013. SUMMARY:ONLINE The Culprits Rahu and Ketu with Komilla Sutton
DESCRIPTION:Sunday\, April 26 • 1:00–3:00pm\nVIA ZOOM • Link will be sent out to registrants one hour before the program.\n \nThe symbol for Rahu and Ketu is the snake\, which in mythology represents both wisdom and poison. Transformation\, death and rebirth are similar themes. The lunar nodes as shadow planets—or secretive planets—can create fear and anxiety through their hidden energy. Their messages can be hard to understand. North node Rahu’s obsession is with the future\, we are always hungry\, never satisfied. Positioned directly opposite Rahu\, Ketu’s obsession is with the past. It is idealistic and unrealistic\, always rejecting things. The mind is pulled in both directions. What is needed is the present-moment awareness to process the information.\n \n \nKomilla Sutton is an internationally renowned consultant\, teacher & lecturer. SUMMARY:An Exploration of Faith with Swami Sankarananda
DESCRIPTION:Two days of classes — from philosophical and practical perspectives \nChoose a residential stay or attend per session \nEveryone has faith\, but faith in what? We each hold on strongly to our beliefs\, and yet we find that they do not carry us through the storms of life – this causes us to dive deeper. Faith is either blind\, or surface level rooted in physicality\, or abiding. It is said that what we seek is the deepest\, abiding\, unshakable faith. Only this unshakable faith will weather any storm. \nOn Faith – Teachings and Dialogue about our Paths to Faith“Faith is a belief in things that your senses have not experienced and your mind does not understand\, but you have touched them in other ways and have accepted them. It is easy for one to speak of faith; it is another thing to live it.To me\, faith represents that people can\, through their own free will\, reach out and contact God\, and grace represents that God is always reaching toward people. To me it is very important that I remain in constant contact with God\, or divine purpose.”  ~Peace Pilgrim \nThis program is designed to explore faith\, to look at our own faith systems and analyze them fairly\, and to clearly see the steps that we have taken as well as those in front of us in order to come to the deeper and abiding faith that will free us from our suffering. We will engage in an honest\, open and non-judgmental exploration\, rooted in Shastra (Truth teachings)\, including the Bhagavad Gita along with selections from Peace Pilgrim and the Buddha’s teachings – along with practices of the Four Paths of Classical Yoga\, all in sacred space. Join us to dive deeper within and to learn more about ourselves – to feel more secure\, to take steps out of the state of disturbance. \n  \nSwami Sankarananda is a simple pilgrim. Not finding peace in a life of business success\, he turned inside\, became a disciple of Swami Sivananda\, and in 2013 he began to walk across and through the USA in a pilgrimage for peace\, completing this in early 2016. He now directs Divine Grace Yoga Ashram in Cottonwood\, AZ. He strives to serve the divine in all and support our universal journey to find the happiness and peace for which we search. www.fromfeartopeace.org \nSwami Sankarananda will lead two morning Satsangs\, two evening Satsangs and give two afternoon talks: \n  \nFRIDAY • 3/6\n7:00pm Check-in \n7:30pm Satsang: The Need of This Time (begins with meditation and chanting) \n  \nSATURDAY • 3/7\n6:00am Satsang: Peace Pilgrim Steps Towards Inner Peace \n8:00am Asana class \n10:00am Vegetarian brunch \n11:00am Karma Yoga (service) \n1:00–3:00pm Exploration of Chapter 17 of the Bhagavad Gita\, where Krishna describes three kinds of faith \n4:00pm Asana class \n6:00pm Vegetarian dinner \n7:30pm Satsang: Devotion in Action \n  \nSUNDAY • 3/8\n6:00am Satsang: Questions and Open Discussion \n8:00am Asana class \n10:00am Vegetarian brunch \n11:00am Karma Yoga (service) \n1:00–3:00pm Practical discussion of our “Walk of Faith” regarding how to acquire and strengthen Sattvic Faith \n3:30pm Checkout or stay for: \n4:00pm Asana class \n6:00pm Vegetarian Dinner \n7:30pm Satsang \nPer session:Talks $45 eachMeals $10 eachAsana classes $16 eachSatsang by donation \nFor the Residential Retreat option:Private room $380 or dorm room $280 for 2 nights (total\, including tuition)Shared same-sex bathroomIncludes 2 vegetarian brunches and 1 dinner\, 2 yoga classes\, 4 satsangs (attendance required)1–2 hours of Karma YogaCheck in 7:00pm Friday; check out SundayWe request a non-refundable deposit of $100\, credit card only. SUMMARY:Yantra Painting Weekend
DESCRIPTION:Two workshops \nChoose a residential stay or attend per session \n  \nA yantra is a powerful meditation tool\, both through the process—plotting the mathematical structure and systematically painting it—and as a symbol of the mantra it represents (with a central focal point). Focus and quiet concentration are required. The visual and nonverbal right hemisphere of the brain is enlisted. With the inner silence comes self-awareness. Watch your experience and find the center again. Encountering the symmetrical\, geometric pattern fosters inner harmony. \nElevate your consciousness by connecting to the Divine\, the universal cosmology. \nWe begin with the Ganesha yantra\, pictured above\, carefully drawing the sacred geometry\, then painting with the specific colors of the Ganesha energy. Participants work at their own pace. If you have already painted the Ganesha yantra\, you will have the opportunity to paint a planet yantra. \nAll materials provided\, but you are welcome to bring a pencil\, eraser\, compass and/or straight edge with metric measurements. No experience necessary. Please sign up in advance. \nDrop in for workshops\, asana classes and meals or check in by 7:00pm Friday 1/24 and enjoy the whole weekend. \nSaturday • 1/25\n12:00–4:00pm  Yantra Painting Session #1 \nSunday • 1/26\n12:00–4:00pm  Yantra Painting Session #2 \nPer session:\nWorkshops $45\nMeals $10\nAsana classes $16\n \nFor the Residential Retreat option:\nPrivate room $380 or dorm room $280 for 2 nights (total\, including tuition)\nShared same-sex bathroom\nIncludes per day: light breakfast\, vegetarian lunch and dinner\, 2 yoga classes\, 2 satsangs (attendance required)\, 2 workshops\n1–2 hours of Karma Yoga\nCheck in 7:00pm Friday; check out Sunday\nWe request a non-refundable deposit of $100\, credit card only.
