Prakriti is understood as the primal\, unmanifested energy that gives rise to the entire universe and all forms of existence. Over time\, Prakriti evolves into three distinct qualities or Gunas: Sattva (purity\, harmony)\, Rajas (activity\, passion)\, and Tamas (inertia\, darkness). These qualities interact and combine in various proportions to create the diverse manifestations of the universe. According to this philosophy\, human beings are also composed of three bodies: the Sthula Sharira (the physical body)\, the Sukshma Sharira (the subtle body\, including mind and emotions)\, and the Karana Sharira (the causal body\, representing the soul or deep consciousness). The evolution of Prakriti through the interplay of these three Gunas gives rise to these bodies\, which in turn influence human experience\, perception\, and consciousness. Yet\, many women find themselves beset with physical and emotional issues during this time. Ayurveda\, the ancient science of health and well-being\, provides a holistic way of understanding the changes which are occurring. It also offers simple dietary and lifestyle tools and practices to help maneuver the transition. \nBy way of orientation\, the session will begin with a brief recap of basic Ayurvedic concepts like Dosha\, before then proceeding with some Ayurvedic insights into menopause. The session will include practical\, specific suggestions for diet and lifestyle adjustments intended to help manage the transition to and through menopause—naturally and with grace. With the regular practice of pranayama—or controlling prana—you can store this energy in your brain and nerve plexi. You need an abundance of prana to be healthy and strong. Hatha Yoga has developed this to a science. In this course\, we will introduce and practice kapalabhati and anuloma viloma (alternate nostril breathing)\, in addition to sun salutations and relaxation. Each class will include approximately half an hour of theory and one hour of practice. Her lineage\, the Rampur-Maihar Senia Gharana\, is one of the last living lines of music that can be traced back to Mian Tansen\, a legendary musician who bears training from the greatest Naad Yogi of living memory – Swami Haridas. It is one of the last living traditions of Naad Yoga where music is passed down to students as a deeply spiritual practice\, and practiced as a lifestyle. She is the first pure vocalist of this lineage since the 16th century and was trained to represent this rare vocal practice in its most authentic form. \nShe studied under the Late Ustad Ali Akbar Khan beginning her training with him in the traditional Guru-Shishya parampara at the age of 4\, studying with him for her whole childhood until his passing. In this classically-based teacher training\, you will learn techniques that will allow you and your students to reach new states of conscious awareness of both the physical and subtle energy body. The end result is the healing of the body and mind\, the experience of deep relaxation states and an increased capacity to manifest your deepest aspirations. \nIn these four days\, you will both experience Yoga Nidra and learn how to teach it to others. She received her training as a Doctor of Ayurveda\, Clinical Ayurvedic Specialist and Pancha Karma Specialist through the California College of Ayurveda (CCA). She is also certified as an Energy Healing Therapist and Body/Mind Counselor through the Lionheart Institute. Her years of training in these complementary modalities have helped her to create a safe place for clients to heal from physical challenges and emotional trauma. Rita is also a Classical Yoga Nidra Representative\, training new instructors through CCA. Her hope is that new instructors will bring Yoga Nidra to their communities.  \nCost\nThe cost of the teacher training is $795. This covers tuition. Pay in full through the registration link or make a deposit of $250. Full payment of the balance is due 2 weeks before the start of the training. He mainly serves as assistant to Acharya Swami Sitaramananda at the Sivananda Ashram Yoga Farm in Grass Valley California and at the Sivananda Ashram in Vietnam. He took the first monastic vow from Sivananda lineage in 2011 and became a sannyasin in 2017. He teaches a 7-day Hatha Yoga Sadhana course and the 14-day Sivananda Sadhana Intensive course\, whose emphasis is on individual sadhana.
