Please offer dakshina and donation
On this auspicious day, we celebrate the birthday of Swami Sivananda, one of the greatest saints and sages of India. Swami Sivananda dressed to clothe himself, ate to live, and lived to serve humanity. Swami Sivananda's Yoga, which he has significantly called the 'Yoga of Synthesis', effects a harmonious development of the 'hand', 'head' and 'heart' through the practice of Karma Yoga, Jnana Yoga and Bhakti Yoga.
We will hold a Guru puja and tell stories of His life and work.
Please arrive at least 5 minutes before start. Kirtan (chanting) and puja books are provided to help you follow along and participate.
The program is open to all. Please prepare to offer Dakshina as a part of the ceremony. Donations of flowers, sweets and monetary donations are graciously accepted. First time participants are welcome.
