Basic Introduction to Hatha Yoga

  • This is the best course to take if you are a beginner. You will benefit from individual attention.  
  • It prepares you for regular drop-in classes and provides a step-by-step introduction to the theory and practice of Yoga, emphasizing the 5 points of perfect health: proper breathing, proper exercise, proper diet, proper relaxation, meditation and positive thinking.  
  • You will also learn the 12 basic asanas, the sun salutation (Surya Namaskar) and basic pranayama.
  •  The course will help you understand the system that is followed in all of our open classes.

Yoga 1 is offered as a 5-week course meeting once per week.  Cost: $65 members, $75 non-members (suggested donation) Saturdays, 5-sessions
