Beginners' Course to Yoga. Meet Tuesdays and Fridays for 5 sessions.
Our beginners’ course provides a step-by-step introduction to the theory and practice of yoga, emphasizing proper exercise (asanas), proper breathing (pranayama) and proper relaxation. One of the main benefits of this course is the focus on individual attention.
We teach 12 basic asanas, the sun salutation (Surya Namaskar) and pranayama in this course. It will help you understand the system that is followed for all of our other classes.
Basic theory (the 5 points of perfect health - proper breathing, proper exercise, proper diet, proper relaxation and meditation and positive thinking) is also covered.

Yoga 1 is offered as a 5-session course meeting twice per week.
