The Sivananda Open Class is a vigorous yet relaxing class with emphasis on deep breathing, relaxation, and concentration. This traditional and classical session of training starts with initial relaxation (Savasana), followed by breathing exercises (Kapalabhati and Anuloma Viloma), six sets of sun salutations (Surya Namaskara), the standard program of 12 basic postures (Asanas), and the final relaxation.
An Open Class lasts 90 minutes and allows for some variation as given by the teacher. Students are advised to take Yoga One before attending an open class. No pre-registration is required. FIRST CLASS IS FREE.
